ONYANGO
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Michael Onyango founded TerraSept Solutions with a conviction that Kisii — and Kenya as a whole — could produce world-class software products. Growing up in the region, he saw firsthand how businesses struggled with outdated systems, manual processes, and software that was never designed for local conditions.

Before TerraSept, Michael spent years working across software development, systems integration, and product management — gaining experience that would form the technical and strategic backbone of the company. He returned to Kisii not because he had to, but because he believed the next great African software company could be built here.

"We don't build software for Africa. We build software with Africa in mind — that is a completely different thing."

Under his leadership, TerraSept has grown from a solo operation to a multi-product company with four flagship platforms, a growing team of engineers and designers, and clients across multiple counties. His vision is straightforward: build software that genuinely changes how African businesses operate.

Michael Onyango establishes TerraSept Solutions in Kisii Town with a focus on custom software development for local businesses.
2023
KilimoIQ & First Enterprise Clients
Launch of KilimoIQ, our first flagship product. Simultaneously onboards first enterprise clients for ERP and POS system development.
2024
TotoAfya, AfyaLink & Team Growth
Launch of TotoAfya and AfyaLink. The team grows to include dedicated roles in CTO, CMO, and Operations as project volume scales.
2025
JiJenge Launch & Regional Expansion
JiJenge goes live. TerraSept begins serving clients beyond Kisii County, with projects in Nairobi, Nakuru, and Mombasa.
