By integrating localized weather data, predictive analytics, and agronomic modeling, KilimoIQ has helped over 5,000 farmers optimize yields and reduce crop loss.
The Challenge
Smallholder farmers in East Africa suffer high crop loss due to unpredictable weather patterns, undetected pests, and fluctuating market prices. Traditional extensions are expensive and slow.
Our Engineering Solution
TerraSept built a light-weight mobile app integrated with localized computer vision models for instant crop disease diagnosis. It incorporates an offline-first DB engine to sync data when connections are weak, and a USSD/SMS gateway to serve farmers on basic feature phones.
